Guess in 10 is a quick card game from the Indian company Skillmatics. Someone holds a hidden card, an animal in the popular Animal Planet edition, and you get up to 10 yes-or-no questions to work out what it is. It suits families with children from about 6, mixed-age groups and train or car journeys. A round takes around 20 minutes and there is almost nothing to set up.
Is Guess in 10 right for your table?
A good pick for
- Families with children aged about 6 and up
- Train journeys, road trips and waiting rooms, since it is just a small box of cards
- Mixed-age groups at festivals or family get-togethers, playing in teams
- An affordable birthday or return gift
Skip it if
- You want a strategy game that keeps rewarding you over months of play
- You play very often with the same group; with 50 cards in a pack, answers start to repeat
- Your group is all adults looking for a real challenge
How Guess in 10 plays
The aim is simple: be the first player or team to win 7 game cards.
On a turn, someone draws a game card and keeps it hidden. They read out a couple of starting hints printed on the card. In Animal Planet, the card shows an animal along with a few facts about it.
You then ask up to 10 questions that can only be answered 'yes' or 'no'. For example: 'Does it live in water?', 'Is it found in India?', 'Is it bigger than a cow?' Part of the fun is learning which questions narrow things down fastest.
Each player gets a few clue cards for the whole game. Play one when you are stuck to get an extra hint from the card. Guess correctly and you keep the card. If the 10 questions run out, the card is set aside. Teams work well with bigger groups, and younger children enjoy being paired with an older cousin or a grandparent.
Small details, such as how many guesses you get and the bonus questions, vary a little between editions, so check the rule sheet in your box.
Takes about 2 minutes to teach. The cards (animal names, starting hints, fun facts) are in English. The questions themselves can be asked in any language, so Hindi, Tamil or a mix works fine at the table.
Buying Guess in 10 in India
Skillmatics is an Indian company. It sells Guess in 10 at Indian MRP on its own site and through its Amazon.in brand store, and toy stores such as Toycra stock it. There is no reason to pay extra for an imported copy.
Skillmatics calls Animal Planet its flagship Guess in 10 edition. On skillmatics.in, the Animal Planet pack now sold on its own is 'Guess in 10: Picture Clues Animal Planet' (on the site since September 2024): 50 animal cards and 6 clue cards, ages 6+. Single packs cost ₹312–₹499 at the stores checked, and the Animal Planet + Countries combo was ₹547. Other editions sold in India include Countries of the World (8+), Cities Around the World, Legendary Landmarks, Wonders of India, All About Space, World of Sports, Foods Around the World, Inspiring Professions, Deadly Dinosaurs, Underwater Animals, Animal Kingdom, Harry Potter and Disney. There is also a Guess in 10 Junior line for ages 3-6, and an Animal Planet Mega Pack with 100 cards and a die (₹547, sold out on skillmatics.in).
How to make sure you get a genuine copy
Clone risk: Medium- The box and listing should carry the Skillmatics name. The manufacturer is listed as Grasper Global Pvt Ltd (India).
- Watch for look-alike names. An Amazon.in result on 4 Oct 2026 was titled 'Guessing in 10 Countries of The World', copying Skillmatics' wording but without the Skillmatics name in the title.
- Check the contents. A standard single pack has 50 game cards, 6 clue cards and an instruction manual.
- Price alone won't catch a copy, because genuine packs are already only ₹312–₹499. Check the brand and seller instead.
- The safest options are skillmatics.in, the Skillmatics brand store on Amazon.in, or an established toy store.
Guess in 10 is cheap and popular, so look-alike listings with near-identical titles exist on Amazon.in. Because genuine copies are so affordable, there is little to save by risking an unbranded one.

Prototype notes for review (won't appear on the live site)
- Amazon match: exact link, medium confidence. Listing title seen: "Skillmatics Guess in 10 Animal Planet (Amazon.in customer reviews page)".
- How it was found: WebSearch 'site:amazon.in Skillmatics Guess in 10 Animal Planet' -> https://www.amazon.in/product-reviews/B07RMJ8SG6/ (titled 'Amazon.in:Customer reviews: Skillmatics Guess in 10 Animal Planet'). The same ASIN is Guess in 10 Animal Planet on amazon.com, .de, .ae and .co.jp. Other candidates: B08GKP3L51, which shows as 'Countries of the World' in English results and as Animal Planet ('Skillmatics एजुकेशनल गेम एनिमल प्लैनेट - 10 में अनुमान लगाएं') in a Hindi-interface result, so it is likely a variation listing; and B0DFT11MQV 'Skillmatics Guess in 10 Animal Picture Clues'.
- Year of first release and designer credits. Skillmatics does not name individual designers on the pages checked.
- Whether 'Picture Clues Animal Planet' (SKU SKILL975GPCAP) has replaced the original Animal Planet pack in India, or is sold alongside it. Amazon.in still has the original ASIN B07RMJ8SG6.
- Amazon.in listing B07RMJ8SG6: only its customer-reviews page appeared in search, so the product page, seller, price and stock were not seen. B08GKP3L51 appears to be a variation listing that shows either Countries of the World or Animal Planet.
- Toycra stock: the page showed an 'Add to cart' button but no explicit stock text, so it is recorded as in stock.
- Player count: the Countries of the World page and rule summaries say 2-6, while the Picture Clues Animal Planet page says '2 or more players'.
- Play time: Skillmatics says each round averages about 20 minutes. Other editions on Amazon.in mention 30 minutes.
- Rule details, such as the number of guesses per turn, bonus questions and clue cards per player, differ slightly between the rule summaries consulted and may differ by edition.
