Sizzle is a quick magnet game from the Indian company Skillmatics. Players take turns placing small magnetic stones inside a loop of cord, and if your stone snaps onto others, you must take them all back. The first to place all their magnets wins. It suits teenagers and adults, couples and short family game sessions, and the box age is 15+ because the pieces are small, strong magnets.

Is Sizzle right for your table?

A good pick for

  • Teenagers and adults who like a short, tense game with very simple rules
  • Couples or two siblings who want something they can learn in two minutes
  • Trips and get-togethers, since it is just a small box of magnets and two cords
  • A gift in the ₹710 to ₹750 range

Skip it if

  • You have toddlers or young children at home; small strong magnets are dangerous if swallowed, and the box age is 15+
  • You want deep strategy; much of the game comes down to steady hands and judging distances
  • You already own a magnet-stone game of this kind; Sizzle plays the same basic way

How Sizzle plays

The box has 24 magnetic stones and two cords. Lay one cord on the table as a closed loop; that is the playing area. Share the magnets out equally, so with four players everyone starts with six, and with two players, twelve each.

Players take turns placing one magnet anywhere inside the loop. The catch is that every magnet pulls on the others. If the stone you place snaps onto another one, or sets off a little chain of stones clicking together, you collect all the magnets that joined up and add them to your own supply.

As the loop fills up, safe gaps disappear and every placement gets riskier. The first player to put down all of their magnets wins.

The two cords give two difficulty levels, one easier and one more challenging. A round is short, so it is easy to play a best-of-three.

Safety: keep the magnets away from small children and pets, and count them back into the box after every game. Skillmatics' original listing, Toycra and FirstCry give the age as 15+, and FirstCry's listing says the game should be used under adult supervision.

Takes about 2 minutes to teach. There is nothing to read while you play. Only the short rule leaflet is in English, and the rules can be explained in any language in a minute or two.

Buying Sizzle in India

Sizzle is a Skillmatics India product. It is sold on skillmatics.in and by Indian retailers, and it did not show up in a search of Skillmatics' international store. There is no imported edition to look for.

Sizzle comes in one edition: 24 magnets, 2 cords and a rule leaflet. Skillmatics also sells it in bundles on skillmatics.in, including the Skillmatics Classic Bundle with magnetic Snakes & Ladders (₹1,182), the Sizzle, Box & Play Bundle with the magnetic dots-and-boxes game Boxed (₹1,561), and Pop, Sizzle & Play with Pop-Reveal Housie (₹1,561). A Sizzle and Rapid Rumble bundle is also sold on Amazon.in. Why the made-in-india tag: Toycra and FirstCry list India as the country of origin, and Toycra names Grasper Global Pvt Ltd (Vasai East, Palghar, Maharashtra) as the manufacturer. The tag here is for where it is made, not for the idea: placing magnetic stones inside a cord loop is a known game style, not a Skillmatics invention.

How to make sure you get a genuine copy

Clone risk: High
  • Check the brand. The genuine box says Skillmatics, with a 'Classics' label above the Sizzle name. On Amazon.in the genuine listing is titled 'Skillmatics Sizzle - Classic Magnetic Attraction Toy & Strategy Game'.
  • Many Amazon.in listings use 'Sizzle' or 'Magnetic Sizzle Game' in the title without the Skillmatics name, at about ₹130 to ₹330 (search on 5 Oct 2026). These are different products, not the Skillmatics game.
  • Count the contents: the Skillmatics set has 24 magnets, 2 cords and an instruction manual. Sets advertising 20, 33, 36 or 48 pieces are other products.
  • The genuine box sold by Skillmatics, Crossword and Toycra carries EAN 8904279509726.
  • Genuine copies cost ₹712 to ₹749 at trusted stores on 5 Oct 2026. A 'Sizzle' at ₹200 is not the Skillmatics game.

Cheaper magnet sets may play the same way, but their magnet strength, finish and safety testing are unknown. If you want the Skillmatics game, check that the listing title names Skillmatics, and buy from the brand store or a trusted retailer.

Questions people ask about Sizzle

What age is Sizzle suitable for?

Toycra, FirstCry and Skillmatics' original product listing give the age as 15+, because the pieces are small, strong magnets. Some Skillmatics bundles that include Sizzle carry lower age labels, but for the game itself go by 15+ and keep the magnets away from small children.

Why are there so many cheap 'Sizzle' magnet games on Amazon.in?

Placing magnetic stones inside a cord loop is a game style that many makers sell, and lots of unbranded sets now put 'Sizzle' in their titles, often for ₹130 to ₹330. They are not the Skillmatics product. The genuine one has the Skillmatics 'Classics' box, 24 magnets and 2 cords.

Is Sizzle the same as Kluster?

They play the same basic way: place magnetic stones inside a cord boundary and take back any that cluster together. Kluster is published by Borderline Editions and designed by Paula and Robert Henning; Sizzle is sold by Skillmatics in India. Small rule details differ, and Sizzle comes with two cords for two difficulty levels.

Can two people play Sizzle?

Yes. It is listed for 2 to 4 players. With two, each player starts with 12 of the 24 magnets.

  • How it was found: COMPOSIO_SEARCH_AMAZON on amazon.in, 5 Oct 2026, queries 'sizzle magnetic game' and 'Skillmatics Sizzle magnetic game'. B0F3JNZD39 was the first result at ₹712 (struck-through ₹799), 4.4 stars from 807 ratings, '1K+ bought in past month'. The price matches skillmatics.in (₹712). Skillmatics' Magnetic Dots & Boxes listing (B0FVM8TS1M) showed the identical 807-rating count, so the ratings may be shared across linked listings.
  • Year: Toycra has listed Sizzle since May 2025, and Skillmatics' current product page dates from August 2026 (an older skillmatics.in address now redirects to it). The first release date was not confirmed.
  • Age: 15+ comes from Toycra, FirstCry's product title and the old skillmatics.in address ('ages-15'). FirstCry's age filter says 12+, Skillmatics bundles containing Sizzle are labelled 4+ or 5+, and the Amazon.in Sizzle and Rapid Rumble bundle says 6+. The age printed on the box could not be read from the box image.
  • Play time: no official figure was found (a product image says '2 min to learn'). 5-15 minutes is an estimate.
  • Best player count is an editorial call; no source rates one count above another.
  • Country of origin: skillmatics.in shows 'Country of Origin - India' on every product page checked, including baby toys, so it may be a site-wide template. Toycra and FirstCry also list India, which matches the brand's declaration. Where the magnets themselves are made was not checked.
  • Rule details beyond the basics (for example, what happens if a magnet is knocked outside the cord) were not checked against the rule leaflet.
  • FirstCry price: ₹727 is worked out from the page data (MRP ₹749, 3% off); stock status was not clear in the page data.
  • Crossword's listing title and description are garbled (the description talks about a cooking pan), but the SKU (Skill1209Si) and EAN (8904279509726) match Skillmatics Sizzle.
  • Designers: Skillmatics does not credit a designer.
  • Amazon.in: seller not visible in search results; the 807 ratings may be shared with a linked Skillmatics listing.
